1/3 Cup White Rice, uncooked
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp Basil
1/2 Cup Water
1 Cup Shredded cheddar
Pepper and salt to taste
Brown meat and onion, drain.
Stir in tomatoes, rice, Worcestershire, basil, water, salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 18-20 until rice is tender.
Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and peppers, top with remaining cheese.

(If not using a cast iron skillet
prepare the rice mixture in a sauce pan and then pour into a casserole dish
before putting in the oven.)

That sure sounds good! I will have to add that to me recipe list of yours! You take care and have a nice New Year!
yummm! I will have to try this recipe. I have made your mexican shredded beef over and over. My husband loves it! I have made many of your recipes and they have all been great! Hope your hanging in there with all that snow! Your blog is one of my favorites and I always wonder what your up to!
Absolutely Delicious! I tried it for dinner tonight and it was a hit with the hubby. Definitely a recipe I'll try again and again. Quick and easy.
I made a couple simple substitutions because of what I had in the fridge. I used ground venison as our meat and red peppers and anaheim chiles instead of green peppers. Jake doesn't like green peppers so I don't buy them anymore. :)
Thanks for another wonderful recipe!
